Foster homes are hard to find but they are very important to any group
doing rescue.  A foster home consists of a breed fancier who provides
temporary care to a dog in a home environment, offering the comforts
of home while evaluating the dog for placement.

It's the best of both worlds for a dog since the animal is afforded the
same loving care as any malamute in its own home, without the
danger of time running out as it often does in a shelter.  It is a very
unselfish, generous contribution to become a foster home. We are
always seeking responsible, reliable foster families.

                                                               This Is "Cheyenne"

Cheyenne was adopted by a wonderful couple that had had to put their elderly St. Bernard mix to
sleep because of cancer. They wanted another big dog and fell in love with Cheyenne. They went to
great lengths to build up their fence to 8 feet to make sure Cheyenne would not get out. They are
now attending obedience classes with him.  Lucky dog!  Lucky people!
